The little she-kit looked around the nursery for a few moments before yawning quietly. She flexed her tiny claws into the ground before shaking out her pelt and stretching. Today's going to be a good day. I'm gonna go outside and explore! No one's gonna stop me today! She thought. And so the she-kit went on, bouncing excitedly out of the nursery. She looked around the camp in awe. It's so big! Rosekit wasn't sure what she was expecting. It was her first time out of the nursery, though she could hardly believe that this was her home. I'm gonna be the leader of this place one day. She thought. It was simply her youthful ambition and imagination that gave her that belief. The tiny she-cat looked around, weaving through warriors' legs as they made their way through the camp to continue their daily duties. Rosekit was so focused on a beetle she'd seen that she didn't notice she stumbled into someone. "Eep! I'm sorry!" She squeaked -emptiness and sadness that has come to take the place of you ► kaigra ◄

"it's okay," asphodelkit managed to get out, voice dazed. it was then he registered he was on the ground. visibly disorientated, he got to his paws, a slight sway to the movement betraying his unsteadiness. "i'm asphodelkit," he said, tone inflected as if proud. "who're you?" She twitched her ears as she looked at him as he too spent time gathering his thoughts. Rosekit smiled softly as he spoke. "Oh good. I'm such a doof!" She mewed. The tiny she-cat wagged her tail excitedly as he introduced himself. Asphodelkit? Such a cool name! I've never heard something like it before! Rosekit sat down and twitched her whiskers. "I'm Rosekit!" She purred. She sprang up onto her paws and bounced around excitedly. "This is my first time out of the nursery! Do you know where everything is? The Warriors' den? Ooh! What about the leader's den?" She began to spring questions on the poor disoriented kit so quickly she could barely keep up with herself. -emptiness and sadness that has come to take the place of you ► kaigra ◄

"every once in a while, everyone has a bump," asphodelkit remarked, "or two." with that, the tom would aim to tap rosekit lightly on the nose in an attempt at humour. the young kit watched rosekit with interest, silver eyes fixed to the rapid movement of her tail. i've never seen a cat wag their tail. but then again i've never seen a lot of things. maybe it's normal. *"rosekit,"* asphodelkit echoed, eyes round as if in awe. "we're both named after flowers. cool..." a giggle spilled from his maw at rosekit's almost feverish animation. *"this is my second time. the first was with the deputy."* i didn't mean to brag. i hope she knows that. "i know where everything is. even the dirtplace." at that, asphodelkit wrinkled his nose as if in distaste. "and especially the leader's den. i kinda wanna sneak in there, but foxfeather might be mad..." the kit's expression grew contemplative, as if weighing the benefits and consequences of intruding upon his own leader's privacy. "what would you do if you were leader?" She giggled for a few moments before tilting her head as she listened to him. "Yeah, that is pretty cool!" She purred. "I've never seen a rose or an asphodel though...oh well! Maybe one day I will." Rosekit smiled brightly. When Asphodelkit mentioned he'd been out in the camp with the deputy, Rosekit's eyes widened in disbelief. "What? You're so lucky, the deputy must be so cool!" She meowed. *"I mean, all the warriors are cool but the deputy?* They're like, double cool."** She mewed. When he talked about knowing where everything was, her tail began to wag slightly again. Someone had mentioned she wasn't supposed to once and it surprisingly discouraged the little she-cat. She was trying to get out of the habit. "Wow! You gotta show me everything!" "What would I do if I were leader? Well...I'd make you my deputy since you were my first friend and...I'd fight TreeClan! "there aren't a lot of flowers," the kit stated, his mood dampened by the grim thought. "i think there used to be, though. it's a shame. flowers are pretty." his expression brightened at rosekit's last few words. "yeah, maybe. will you show me if - when - you find one?" he felt a sliver of hope flicker in his chest, as fleeting and as fragile as the beat of a hummingbird's gauzy wings. asphodelkit grinned at rosekit's reaction. "yeah, he's cool. i was out late, and he didn't tell ma." a giggle spilled from his maw as rosekit's tail began to wag again; he wasn't entirely sure why, but it amused the young tom. another laugh escaped when rosekit said he would have to show her everything. "yeah? even the dirtplace?" he questioned, a teasing spark in his silver eyes. that spark turned into one of awe when rosekit claimed she would make him deputy, and even more so when she mentioned he was her first friend. "really?" he whispered, not sure which of the two statements he was referring to. "wait, just 'cause they're smelly? i guess you have to fight all the elders, too!" asphodelkit glanced around surreptitiously, as if the two of them were part of some sort of conspiracy, but a toothy grin was already spreading on his face. "I promise." She smiled. She really hoped she'd get to see one someday. The tiny she-cat heard that they were beautiful and hoped to see one herself. "Really? I'm not allowed to stay up too late...But that's ok, cause I get to sleep! And I like sleeping because I have cool dreams! Like that one time I dreamed that I was fighting a big fox all by myself and I totally beat it up!" She purred, unsheathing her tiny kitten claws and imitating some of the sloppy moves she remembered using in her dreams against a dried leaf. Moments later the leaf was completely destroyed. "I'll fight all of TreeClan if I had to. I'm a FireClanner! FireClan is the best Clan! We're super strong and super fast, those bird-brained squirrels will never see us coming because we'll be too quick."
