In reality this was just a leaf she had found on the floor, but she was convinced that it had some kind of healing properties. Reaching the entrance to the den, she spat out the leaf and squeaked as loud as she could. "Hello? I brought you an herb!"

He knew his answer wasn't he most honorable, but he was rather tired. "I was napping. Resting so I can be at my best when the clan needs me.," he calmly explained. He had slept little lately and knew he would be prone to mistakes if he didn't get the sleep he needed. He did not have anyone come in today. Not even a Queen. Frowning slightly he said, "For once the clan isn't keeping me busy. I forgot to say that I am Smokepelt." How silly of him to forget to introduce himself. Good Cloudclan I am sore, he thought. He may be a fairly young cat, but his knees were killing him. He needed to put some sort of ailment on them soon. It would help him get around, but he was avoiding using herbs for personal use unless absolutely dire. He sat down to see if the ache would go away with more rest, folding his legs beneath him and wrapping his tail around his side.

It was bad enough for kits to do it, but adults did it too? 'Why would you waste time sleeping?' She couldn't wrap her mind around it. Her tiny ears perked up as he continued, a triumphant squeak escaping her when he introduced himself. 'I knew it!' "I can keep you busy, mister." Spiderkit responded, mimicking the tom's behavior and taking a seat herself. She looked up at him expectantly, her tiny fangs showing more than usual as she strained her neck to make eye contact.

Smokepelt did not know. He figured the kit viewed it as something that wasn't fun or was uninteresting. "You want to keep me busy? What do you propose young one?" At least someone wanted to keep him company. He usually had to pull teeth to do that.

However, he surely had something he could recall. He wasn't that old. "Well I recall the time I almost snuck out of camp," Smokepelt began, looking in thought. "I was a wee lad and I wanted to explore the sky tree and find the cat that lives up there. Some say that cat is very wise and holds many secrets and I wanted to be the smartest cat ever. I was caught by the Deputy and scolded by my parents. It was not my only time I tried however." He stopped in order to build suspense and observe the reaction of the kit.
