- side note, italics below is fake Brambly
Pros: Intelligent, Kind, Honorable, wip
Cons: A little awkward, hates most cats, easily irritable, wip
Personality: To be more descriptive later, but to simplify it... Brambly does his best to act like the perfect warrior. Brave, honor-bound, warrior code, CloudClan (those last two are legit too, but they also help his image so he's glad he believes in those things, etc.) Really, he doesn't give a horse's tush who you are and about your problems, unless you're of some importance to IceClan. His thoughts are cold, usually insulting, while he plasters on this fake smile and pretends to be your best friend. You'll probably never meet the real Brambly, at least I hope not, cause that means I'm roleplaying him badly!! Bramblepaw is completely loyal to IceClan, thinks the other clans should like, kind of die offor be killed off, huehue he's totally not plotting anything, and that IceClan is all that matters.

History:
Bramblekit was born in IceClan's territory, as his mother had decided to take a walk the day fate chose she shall have her kitting. Still, nothing bad had even happened. The weather wasn't terribly cold, and the medicine cat had been there in time. The distance had been too much for the queen to bear returning, but it wasn't far enough to be concerning. And his mother had two kits, both tomkits, who she named Dustkit and Bramblekit.
Their father was a warrior of IceClan as well, who was quite proud of having two sons. The biggest surprise of this story, though, is that both parents believed heavily in following the warrior code, and that their ancestors in CloudClan were real. Given the current time of the clans, where such things were meaningless and falling out of importance, it was perhaps seen as a oddity. But not at all strange that two cats so similar found love.
The two made sure to teach their sons the same lessons. That CloudClan were real, and that the warrior code was to be honored forevermore, and they would never be true warriors. Bramblekit and Dustkit were easily molded into the mindset, as all young minds are, and thus Bramblekit still carries his beliefs strongly to this day.
When they were three moons old, their mother was on a patrol along the border, and was attacked by an enemy clan. She died later from her wounds. Their father took it pretty badly, and wondered if IceClan was really the best place to raise his sons. He came to a decision in a dream, where he insisted his mate had visited him in. Leave one kitten in IceClan, and take the other with you.
Their father had sworn in the dream, he had seen a firefly in the IceClan nursery as well. And when he awoke next to his sons, he knew exactly what it meant. Comparing Dustkit's gray eyes to the glowing firefly like orbs of Bramblekit in the dusk light, he knew what to do. And so, he snuggled his younger son into the belly of a resting queen, and set off with Dustkit.
IceClan realized very quickly what had become of the warrior and the kit, and their scent marks were not followed across the border lines. Instead, they took it as good fortune for less mouths to feed (some did, trying to find a silver lining), and opted to helping Bramblekit recover from being abandoned.
This is where Bramblekit's personality started to take shape. Given his circumstances-- recently losing his entire family to death and desertion --the queens and other cats of IceClan gave him a lot of care and pity. Always they would ask how he was doing, and fret over the littlest of things. It annoyed Bramblekit to no end, who was suffering immensely and did not appreciate all the exaggerated kindness.
So he started to lie.
It was easy at first, hardly something he thought about. "I'm fine." was probably the most common, the simpliest of them all. Then it started to get worse as Bramblekit realized he could completely avoid all the annoying pity entirely.
"I don't miss them."
"I'm really happy I was left in IceClan!"
"I'll get to see them again someday."
And then.
"Whose Dustkit?"
"Oh, my missing brother...? I forgot about that!"
It was like it had never happened at all. As the moons trickled by, so did his growing ability to pretend. Bramblekit wasn't sad at all he had been abandoned. In fact, he was such a happy and cheery kitten, he hardly recalled it at all! There was no reason to worry about him, or give him any extra amount of care, because he didn't seem like he needed any of it. Bramblekit was fine. Heck, he seemed more than fine!
...He seemed more than fine. What no one knew, even suspected at all, was the bitterness and anger festering in his heart. Bramblekit hated FireClan for taking his mother away, now believing that all the other clans were bad and shouldn't even exist. He hated his father for leaving IceClan and his son to fend for themselves, and he hated Dustkit for being the one chosen instead. Bramblekit hated the cats who pretended to care about him, or actually did, and he hated how annoying and innocent the other kits in the nursery were, oblivious to everything.
Apprenticeship finally arrived, where Bramblepaw currently stands. He's three months into his training, and isn't that bad at it.
He has realized that he cares about IceClan more than anything else, maybe even himself. He wants to become clan leader someday and lead IceClan to a better future.
And he knows just what kind of cat his clanmates look for in a leader. A kind, brave, honorable one who cares unconditionally, and is loyal beyond compare.
The kind of cat everyone thinks Bramblepaw is.
The kind of cat he really isn't entirely.
