"Don't apologize." Goldenleap said. It was kind of annoying. No one apologized for what they did, and now that he heard one, it just annoyed him. Again, only one cat who'd ever to show any sort of kindness and sympathy towards him, and since her passing.... He didn't really care for kindness, because it was so far and few in between, and Bramblepaw was laying it on sort of think. So... Yeah. It was irritating.
Then Bramblepaw demanded an explanation for what Goldenleap had to say. Ugh. He didn't really want to explain it. It was.... The type of thing you really only understood in its entirety when you were victim to it. He sighed. He supposed he could give it a decent shot. "It doesn't matter what the truth is. Cats don't like being proven wrong. They'll stubbornly cling to their misconceptions even if it's glaringly obvious they're wrong." He said. If Bramblepaw was paying attention, he'd notice the implication that Goldenleap wasn't everything they said he was. He wasn't sure if Bramblepaw would notice or believe him or even care.
Finally, Goldenleap stopped walking. He took the time to yawn. "Here we are." He drawled lazily. "Your mentor might've shown you this place before." They were at the site of the huge strange Twoleg structure, that was partially wrecked. He gently swung his tail behind him. He looked over his shoulder to look at Bramblepaw. "Eh.... How do you want to do this? Split up or partner up?" He asked. He wondered if Bramblepaw knew that Goldenleap dragged him here to hunt, not to nap. After all, that had been the original offer, hadn't it? Besides, Goldenleap liked hunting here. There were plenty of little rodents hiding under the wreckage. You just had to chase them out to somewhere you could reach them. Loud noises did that pretty well.
